Drugstores and pharmacies: link your items to Swiss data by Pharmacode
Your wholesaler list contains Pharmacodes? Get the barcode, description, active substances, dispensing category and images of every item, medicines and parapharmacy included.
Wholesaler lists (Galexis, Voigt, Amedis…) identify items by their Pharmacode. Online shops and tills usually work with the barcode (GTIN). Between the two, a reliable and up-to-date mapping is missing. That is what our pharmacy API provides.
The use case
A drugstore sells a few thousand items online. Its wholesaler list has 6,390 lines with a Pharmacode. Through the API, 94% of the items are found, and almost 90% have at least one image.

Leading zeros are accepted: 0131736 and 131736 give the same result. The answer contains the GTIN, the German and French description, the images and, for a medicine, the Swissmedic data: active substances, ATC code, dispensing category, listing in the Specialities List.

Process a whole list
A script reads your file (CSV), queries the API by Pharmacode and writes an enriched file. For thousands of items, a paid plan avoids hitting the free plan's daily quota (100 requests).
Where the data comes from
Medicines: Swissmedic and Refdata, updated weekly. Parapharmacy, cosmetics and equipment: list of active items on the Swiss market. Images: product pages of Swiss pharmacies, matched by Pharmacode.
